Boycott Shreddies
The campaign for the new "diamond" Shreddies is an insult to intelligence.
Make their sales plummet by not purchasing this product. Make these arrogant
and delusional "professionals" answer to their shareholders.

There could be a bit of a problem here:
Shreddies is not part of the Kraft group so far
as I am aware; it is part of the Nestle group!

The problem begins with "J".

Unless of course you have a sense of humour.

The boycott should be against Shredded Wheat. I used to buy it all the time,
but then they went and changed the boxes in a very desceptive manner. They used
to have one size box with 18 biscuits and one with 24, each containing
packages of three layed horizontally. The changed the packaged, so that the 18
box has double rows of bicuit packages placed vertically. It doesn't sound like
a big deal, but the result was that the front of the new 18 box is the
aproximate height and width as the old 24 box, but the box is thinner. The
result it that the new 18 biscuit format looks like the 24 size, and sells for
the same price as the 24 biscuit box, so we got gouged for a 33% increase in
price..... unless you are smart and switch to Muffets, which taste the same and
are a hell of a lot cheaper.

Thanks for that. I just checked the box and its a 24 pack. I'll have to keep
my eye out for the new format. I'm concerned however, having not
investigated further at this point, that this may be a small, specialized
company. It does not appear to be owned by a mega-conglomerate and is
licensed under the name Wheatabix Ltd.

I suppose the crux is, marketing = deception and the best marketers are the
best deceivers. To think that people actually study how best to deceive is
sort of sad, but alas, the truth can sometimes be quite painful. Having said
that, truth is always better than lies.

Finding humor can be difficult during stressful times and I admitted to the
possibility of missing the joke. I guess I could be happier if I were not
born a white male. Oh well, my lot in life being sealed by race, gender and
class is no different than any other "minority". lol

I saw the commercial. It reminded me of a tea commercial from several
years ago. A tea company was touting that it's tea bags were round.
One of the other companies ran an answering commercial where they
said that their tea was in a newly shaped bag too. It was, of course,
the bag turned 45 degrees.
