PDRK Dismantles Most Nuke Facilities

Beijing, Dec 26 (Prensa Latina) On Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry
affirmed that the People's Democratic Republic of Korea will conclude
dismantling most of its nuclear facilities in Yongbyon by the end of
this year, as it has committed itself to do it.

There is a five-megawatt reactor existing in that location, and a 
processing plant and facility for manufacturing nuclear oil bars
used in the reactor.

The People's Democratic Republic of Korea committed itself, during the
six-way talks in Beijing last October 3, to dismantle Yongbyon and
make a declaration of all of its nuclear programs before 2007 ends.

The Chinese spokesman Qin Gang affirmed that the commitments made by
other countries participating in the talks have also been gradually
implemented.

China, the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea and PDRK have taken
part in those talks since 2003.
