The Goldfish and the Bowl - A Study in the Nature of Modern Reality
The goldfish has no understanding of anything outside the bowl although it
can be affected by it. It can not understand and is not aware of the nature
of the bowl nor what is outside the bowl.
If a goldfish became aware of what is inside the bowl, the bowl itself and
finally that which is outside the bowl, it may be concerned about the
reality outside the bowl since what occurs outside the bowl can affect what
is inside the bowl. To the goldfish the bowl would represent a prison from
which is restricted from affecting things outside the bowl. The goldfish
would come to resent the bowl despite of the bowl providing its continued
existence. Breaking the bowl in a futile attempt to escape would only leave
the goldfish stranded in air.
If the goldfish becomes aware of a problem isolated inside the bowl it is
unable to affect change.
The aware goldfish is faced with a choice of accepting the bowl in order to
live and accept what surrounds the bowl whether or not those surroundings
are benevolent, malevolent or benign as they pertain in relation to both the
goldfish and the bowl or it chooses to escape the bowl which also results in
demise.
If a problem arises inside or outside the bowl, it has only one of two
choices, remain until its demise, or escape to its demise. Either way, the
goldfish is doomed.

Interesting construct. This reality though is determined on the goldfish
being a goldfish, with no means to affect change even with a perception
of, or beyond, its confines. In other words this reality, is bound to a
reality where only the laws of goldfish applies. Now if you are talking
of the goldfish bowl that's a whole different problem.
Can one talk of the goldfish bowl without talking of the goldfish?

Very good. The goldfish models a human within the confines of the
environment in which it finds itself. The model suggests humans can not
change what is inside or outside the bowl.
Your critique assumes humans can affect change inside, and or outside the
bowl. I eagerly await the justification for your position.

How can the goldfish (human) affect change to the bowl (confines) or anythin
outside the bowl?

Yes. However, without the goldfish, the bowl is irrelevant to the goldfish.
The two are linked since that's the relationship being shown and is assumed
within the model.

It's Christmas Eve. Don't you have some presents to wrap (or an underage daughter to pump full

If i take that construct a step further, then whatever created that confine must
exist beyond the bowl. If the goldfish is aware of its confines and has the
capacity for thought, then it might ask 'how and why did i get here'? It might
choose to behave intelligently, demonstrating to whomever or whatever, that
it has this greater awareness. If there is life beyond the bowl, it may lead to
an equal demonstration, an equal awareness of the goldfish and its confine.
Perhaps some connection is made between the goldfish and whatever it surmises
must exist. Perhaps the effort is a futile one, and this effort is merely something to
do where there was nothing. Or perhaps the effort leads to an equal gesture, and
a larger bowl. Its awareness stimulating awareness in others, either its own kin, or
whatever lies beyond.
The question seems to be one of hope and the absence of hope, purpose and
absence of purpose. Perhaps this is the essence of belief before that will was
distorted to extort control.

I see her being similar to Germaine Greer.
She missed out on having a husband, children and grand children because she

Now she has nothing left but to cling to the old dogma she believed in so

What you "see" is your own grotesque & bizarre stroke fantasy. Keep me out of it, freak.

Indeed. My 9 year-old is not capable of impregnating a female, you kl00less fartwipe.
