Here's a New One - Celtic and Irish are Languages!
I'm serious. ROFLMA

I applied to a posting (CTV Globe Media) and answered the languages portion
of the web-site. Included in the numerous actual languages, were Celtic and
Irish. After I stopped laughing, I wondered, hey, where the hell is
Scottish? And what about British or American?

These are the same fucking dolts responsible for hiring people! I made sure
to use my new cover letter.

One assumes that by American, you mean the version of English spoken by some
inhabitants of the USA.

One assumes those who are employed in HR departments have a modicum of
intelligence.

Amerikans can't talk inglish.

The cannot pronounce the language; they cannot
spell the language; the cannot punctuate the
language.

Of course your point aims to do nothing but spread hate despite your witty
tagline. I'm not fooled by you; neither should anyone else.

I take that original poster is from the USA then.!(:-)
Rather not call them Americans, as there are, of course, many other
countries in those two continents, the ones I've so far visited being
infinitely more worthwhile.
I wonder whether he/she realises that both Irish and Scottish are Celtic
languages, both referred to as Gaelic, pronounced 'Gaylik' in the former,
and 'Gallic' in the latter.

Ah well.

I had originally checked to see if Gaelic was on the list and it was not. So
they included two dialects as languages missing scottish and did not include
a language. Is this some kind of Leninist experiment that we're all
witnessing?

But the English and the French started that. So...

(Ie it wasn't like English was being pronounced 'properly'[orig latin
transliteration] before the brit dispora corrupted it.)

Most of us know language is not static. Its bound to change. That however
should not be reason to destroy or willfully corrupt a language as we are
seeing many examples of today. The point behind my post was to show that
people who have likely attended university or college and are gainfully
employed have made a blatant error akin to a child's knowledge level, but
that they indeed are employed while I will soon face a stay in prison for
failure to, or more accurately *prevented* from paying child support.

I will add, my counterpart who legally stole my child and was encouraged to
do so earns a comfortable $40K+ per year from her work as a nurse to special
needs children after cheating on an exam to obtain her certificate (I have
substantive and convincing evidence not that it matters) . Her live-in
boyfriend earns at least that much but his income is not considered part of
the household income by family court, or the Family Responsibility Office as
it is when they do their yearly taxes for Revenue Canada. Further, when I
applied for social assistance, my application didn't even make it past
intake screening because I EARN slightly less than $200 per month! I was not
even given the opportunity to make an appeal since the application was never
submitted despite the fact that I too am a single parent with a dependant
child, which by the way, I am not allowed to claim on my yearly tax return.
If that isn't enough, my counterpart and everyone else in her position, is
considered a single parent.

Is this simple incompetence by accident or blatant corruption by design?
