Yep, that must rate higly on the excitement scale for Kenilworth. All the
coffin dodgers will be there for the opening.

You can't please some people. Only the other day you were complaining
about the Chav Express store. Don't knock it. If it stops them stinking
up the other shops with their scent of lavender, I'm all for it.

As for the excitement angle, yes Kenilworth is quiet, even boring. It's
been like that all my life. Some of us like it that way.

By the way, Waitrose do a very nice strong cider in 3 litre plastic
bottles for upwardly mobile Chav's.

Don't be so touchy, this is a newsgroup, you know nothing serious is written
here.

Kenilworth will never be the same since the Kebab House/Fishbar owner sold
out to some refugees in 2001.

<incredible hulk mode>

That's not me being touchy. You don't want to see me when I'm touchy.

<incredible hulk mode off>

I'm typing this outside, drinking tea and eating toast (with heather
honey drizzled on top), while our local tame blackbird forages in the
border next to me for worms and snails. I can't see 'touchy' because I'm
so far away from it. Hurrah for wireless broadband and a bit of sunny
weather at last.

It all turned for the worse when the owners of the Roseland Rd Fishbar
changed hands and they stopped accepting the glasses we'd brought with
us from the pub in exchange for the last bits in the cabinet and a few
chips.

I know that keeping the glasses was 'technically' theft and the chippy
owner was technically 'in receipt of stolen goods', but it was the
closest we ever got to reckless law breaking.

Cov City council must be cursing like mad - they've been trying to get
Waitrose to open up in Cov for years (Along with a decent department store.)

Never mind. When permission is granted (finally) to allow the
university/business park to expand towards Crackley, then they'll get
one by the simple act of the assimilation of Kenilworth into greater
Coventry.

Not if they don't sort out Crackley Lane it won't. Jeezus, if there was ever
a road that needed a few quid spending on it for the amount of traffic it
gets.

It's not as if it's used that much. The carjackers prefer to head
straight down the Coventry Rd. You'd need to carjack a 4x4 to head down
that way.
