Hi,

DoeS AnyBody have anything (good or bad) to say about the butchers in
Coventry? either the ones in the city center, or the couple just south
of it. I can't seem to find any reviews online...

If you want really good meat go to Phil Tuckey at the Farm Shop, Larges
Farm, Back Lane. The postal address is Meriden, but it's actually less than
a mile (at a guess) from where the Massey works used to be near the junction
of Banner and Broad Lanes. Carry on along Broad Lane away from the city and
take the right fork after the end of the 30 limit. Soon there's an entrance
to Barnacle Farm on the left, Larges Farm is the second driveway on the
right after that.

We have been going there for over a year now and never had anything that is
less than good and usually it's excellent. You haven't lived until you have
had pork from a Berkshire pig - or Ronaldsay lamb.

I can second that. Their gloucester old spot oak smoked bacon is to
die for.

I would also strongly recommend the butchers on Meriden green as well.
Their stuff is really good, especially their cumberland bangers.

Put not your faith in Multimap. The shop is the second on the right after
Barnacle Farm unless they've moved.

Tell you tomorrow if they have.

Second on the right it is. I suspect Multimap supply the data for one or
two of the more imaginative satnav devices that some people put their faith
in.

Thanks for the recommendation. I took your advice, and we had a really
good leg of lamb on Saturday night. I shall be going back!
