Another ID query
After I got all the help for my Buzzard a few months ago another trivial
query for you - but this time it's really easy, because I had my camera.

These are snipped from the same shot taken at Turville, Bucks (near High
Wycombe, and definitely Red Kite country).

As usual the area is knee-deep in Kites. I can't decide for sure what
the second one is - colour looks like a kite, but the tail is all wrong.
  Juvenile?

BTW anyone who remembers me from before - there are now Parakeets in
Maidenhead. And that Buzzard before, I reckon was flying at about 3000ft!

Thanks

Andy

The left-hand one is a Buzzard, the right-hand a Red Kite. The photo
is too small for me to decide what age either bird is, though the Kite
looks too deep-reddish for an immature, which are rather washed-out
greyish overall in their first year.

Cheers,

Phil

Great, thanks. I was surprised to see them flying together.

I also didn't see the dihedral I was told was diagnostic last time I asked!

First-year Buzzards often soar on flat wings, something which has
given me more than one heart-flutter over the years.

Cheers,
