Adam Yosef, who chairs the Saltley Gate Peace Group, claimed similar
material had been fly-posted in the past by groups such as
Al-Muhajiroun and Hizb-ut-Tahrir Britain.

But Dr Imran Waheed, a spokesman for Hizb-ut-Tahrir Britain, said: "We
have no link whatsoever to the material that has been fly-posted in
Birmingham.

"We believe that the posting of such material damages community
relations and does nothing to create harmony between the city's
residents.

"In Birmingham our activists work in the local community, encouraging
the people of Birmingham to speak out against injustice and oppression
at home or abroad through peaceful political means.

"In the UK, our work with the Muslim community is focused on directing
Muslims to make a positive contribution to society, whilst preserving
their Islamic identity."

Dr Waheed claimed the group had never fly-posted material in the city,
but had merely handed out leaflets after Friday prayers at mosques.

Probably also BNP has been involved in this, as they used the posters to
complain to the police about the demonstration.

Probably also BNP has been involved in this, as they used the posters to
complain to the police about the demonstration.

Re: Muslim party in posters denial
On Friday (25th May) I saw some stickers on quite a few lamposts in
Sparkbrook, (around the Piccadilly Cinema area), that said 'Boycott Israel'.
I wasn't really bothered by them because I quite support the sentiment.
