Not for people who are allergic to aspirin. Note that even non-overdose
amounts can have deadly consequences -- such as Reyes syndrome (which is
why people are counseled not to give aspirin to children).

I take a daily low-dose aspirin to help protect against heart attacks. Of
course, based on recent research, I should probably stop that.
My wife takes a daily full-dose aspirin because she has heart disease, three
stents, and has had at least one heart attack.

I'm not a woman, so that doesn't apply to me.
And actually the study says 200 mg of caffeine. The equivalent amount of
coffee varies between 3 cups and 1.5 cups to get 200 mg, depending on the
coffee and how it is prepared.
And of course, that refers to 8-oz. cups. With both coffee and alcoholic
beverages, many people think they are drinking "one cup" or "one drink" when
in fact they are drinking far more than one standard 8-oz cup, or one standard
drink (which contains 0.6 oz of 100% alcohol, or 1.5 oz of 80 proof alcohol).

And start taking statins perhaps, if your risk factors warrant it.
Statin use appears to be a relatively safe and free of unpleasant
side effects for most people, though I'd would be on my guard for
cognitive effects.

As well as statins? My mother had a minor heart attack years ago,
was put on daily aspirin but then taken off it again when it was
found to exacerbate her asthma symptoms.
