This newsgroup is a part of the uk.* hierarchy (see [1]). The Charter
that follows was officially adopted either when the group was created
or during a subsequent formal revision.

uk.local.north-wales is for the discussion of issues relating to the
area of North Wales. Contributions are welcome from people who: live,
study, or work in; have an interest in the culture, history and
attractions of; or plan to visit the area.
uk.local.north-wales is a bilingual, Welsh/English, newsgroup where
posts are welcome in either language. Those who subscribe and/or post
may not understand Welsh or possibly English; or may be learning the
Welsh Language. Consideration should be given to the language used for
any follow-up post.
Commercial advertising is unwelcome, although a company reference in a
signature not exceeding four lines is acceptable.
Announcements of community events or other information that is of
direct relevance to the people of North Wales are welcome.
Messages posted to this newsgroup must not be cross-posted to more
than a TOTAL of four uk.local.* newsgroups; these may be
geographically adjacent or overlapping, or connected by the subject of
the post (e.g. "moving house from Chester to Bangor").
Cross-posting to/from soc.culture.welsh is unwelcome, unless directing
a post from one to the other with follow-ups set accordingly.
With the exception of PGP signatures, the posting of binaries or other
encoded data files is not permitted. However references to relevant
web URL's or FTP sites are welcome.
The geographical boundaries of North Wales shall not be rigidly
defined. Posts relating to any locale which may reasonably be included
in the area known as "North Wales" shall be accepted.

ardalGogledd Cymru. Croesewir cyfraniadau gan y rhai sy'n byw, yn
astudio neu'n gweithio yno, neu sydd diddordeb yn niwilliant, hanes
ac atyniadau'r ardal, neu sydd yn bwriadu ymweld a hi.
Grw^p dwyieithog yw uk.local.north-wales, yn croesawu negeseuon yn
Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg. Bydd rhai defnyddwyr sydd ddim yn dealt
Cymraeg, neu o bosib Saesneg, a hefyd rhai fydd yn dysgu Cymraeg.
Dylid ystyried pa iaith I ddefnyddio mewn atebion.
Bydd hysbysebu masnachol yn annerbyniol, eithr bod cyfeirio at gwmni
mewn llofnod heb fod dros pedair llinell yn iawn.
