Film of Liverpool, 1965
The REAL Liverpool, that is - shot on silent cine around the Everton area.

Available at the BBC website (where it is referenced to Youtube).

Anyone else recognise those streets around Everton Road, Margaret
Street, the Hippodrome junction, etc?

Re: Film of Liverpool, 1965 & Pete Best 2003 radio interview
Just listened to the "Pete Best 2003 radio interview" 1 to 5. His dismissal
Seemed very unfair, they supposedly sacked him on the advice of George
Martin wanting to use a drummer he knew. I can see his point, the other
drummer who's name eludes me at the mo' was probably a trained percussionist
in some fancy London School and had sat in on some of G.Martin's recordings,
but the irony is, that even when Ringo was ushered in they still used the
session drummer for the first lot of recordings they did with G.Martin.
So no matter how you see it, the fact is G.Martin must have thought
Ringo also wasn't up to scratch and still had his way, and in the process
ruining a good mans career and lifestyle.

"George Martin"...What a ruthless...thoughtless tosser.
