40% 0f young people not on electoral roll
Spoken by Jim Devine : 1 Commons debate
=======================================

Oral Answers to Questions - Electoral Commission Committee: Young
People (6 Nov 2006)
http://www.theyworkforyou.com/debates/?id=2006-11-06a.574.2&s=speaker%3A12834#g575.0
Jim Devine: Would the hon. Gentleman consider sending advice to hon.
Members? I conducted a survey of people who attend my surgery and
found
that, sadly, up to 40 per cent. of the young people who come to see
me
are not on the electoral register. I have been trying to sign them
up,
and wonder whether some guidance could be issued.
