East Midlands Ambulance Service
So in the past few days we have had
An Ambulance getting lost between Mablethorpe and Grimsby
An Ambulance travelling 23 miles to from Bardney to Lincoln
A woman having to wait 3 hours for 999 Ambulance
EMAS seem to have a total arrogant disregard for public concern with their
spokesperson commenting "We don't have sufficient time to look into the
detail to respond to this." "EMAS is a 24/7 service. We answer 500,000
emergency calls per annum and that's our priority."
What arrogance - Surely the fact is they DIDN'T answer these Emergency
calls.
I even bet EMAS spent a small fortune sending that spokesperson on a
Customer Service/ How to handle the Media course
The public have a right to require answers and a right to a proper service.

I've seen a newspaper report on this one. The driver took a wrong exit
on a roundabout, and turned back at the first safe opportunity.

Weird, they do have GPS navigation.
But there was something in the first story about "receiving routes",
which may mean getting onto a main road quickly, and a standard route
into town, and they said the driver should have known the route better.
It does sort of fit with the Bardney case: did the ambulance go to
Wragby, from where it's a pretty good run into Lincoln and the Hospital?
Yes, Greetwell Road looks pretty good, but you could lose a lot of time
between Fiskerton and Bardney. Those roads are not good for fast travel.
Crossing the river and coming into Lincoln from the south? That could be
a bit dodgy.
It's not a simple thing, and no answer is the best every time.
And, yeah, they should be able to explain this. Maybe you should ask
what didn't get into the news story.
