Does anyone know of someone in/near Lincoln that can do battery replacement 
on an Ipod. Preferably not a cowboy that's going to open it with a cold 
chisel..

Maplin in town sell battery repacement packs with the tools to get into the 
ipod to change the battery.

Thanks Phil. I'll check that out. If I can benchstrip and reassemble a 
laptop I ought to be able to figure out an Ipod.

Depending upon the ipod, I think there are instructional videos on youtube.

I bought a replacement battery and tool-kit for my cousins i-pod mini, but 
2-3 years on the original battery is still surprisingly good, so I haven't 
had to look into doing a change yet.
