Further to "Where to buy new PC"
I was recommended to Springbok Computers and found just what I wanted,
A bespoke PC with excellent range of choices, good friendly discussion of my
needs, no pushy sales methods, and run by a decent guy who has time for his
customers
be their requirements large or small, or just advice.
All very refreshing having experienced the big retailers who all seem to be
in Microsofts pocket
to the point of saying if you want their products you must have Vista. ( Not
to mention a large sum for extended warranty
and/or insurance, installation charge etc......etc. )
Long live the small business people !

Well worth a visit.

That's good to hear. I've had a couple of small dealings with this bloke
in the past and found him first-rate. Glad to hear he's still going
strong.

He just needs to sort out his website then, mostly out of date parts, at too
high a price. Maybe he's too busy to notice. Shame if what you say is
right. A prime example, tried ordering a mobo, price £59.99, went to
checkout, Total price including del and VAT £121.19. Now I don't mind
paying a little extra for good service but paying £61.20 for P&P (RMRD)
seems a little steep to me.
