Cameras on poles in Immingham & at Stallingborough Roundabout
Did anyone notice the yellow cctv shaped camera mounted on a high pole
connected to a big yellow box underneath it? The first one i saw was at
Stallingborough Roundabout on the approach from Riby
I noticed another one in Immingham near the Vauxhall dealer too
anyone know what they're monitoring?

I did think they may have been SPECS cameras initially but once i saw
the next one i realised not. i work in immingham and saw another one
later in the day opposite the county hotel.
these cameras are on a high pole and are just strapped and chained to
the street lights.
the box at the bottom of the unit has a big sticker on it warning that
cctv recording is in progress.
if whoever has put it there hasnt removed the one opposite the county
by dusk i would have thought the immingham locals would have nicked it
and tried to flog it by now lol

Re: Cameras on poles in Immingham & at Stallingborough Roundabout
These are CCTV cameras used by police in various area, to check road tax, if
driver is wearing seatbelts or on the phone.
If caught, police are either nearby to stop vehicles, or photo is sent to
home address of car owner.
I know this because they are also in Scunthorpe.
I work for courier firm, 3 have been stopped for no belts, 2 for being on
phone while driving,
These are moved around to different areas every day, in Lincolnshire area.
See Evening telegraph site for more details.

They are monitoring the movement of people. What we need is to monitor the
movements of UK people in positions of power. Head per head of UK population
there are at least as many corrupt people in positions of power. This is not
by accident.

Re: Cameras on poles in Immingham & at Stallingborough Roundabout
War is expensive.
Camden Council awarded itself the title "Council of the Year" after it
had introduced one of the most horrendous of parking policies. They
needlessly put parking meters in cul-de-sacs and residential streets.
Traffic wardens are forever looking for the slightest excuse to tow
away cars. They know that the owners, desperate to get their vehicles
back, will pay promptly.
This is just more of the "Big Brother" tactic. The use of a mobile
phone, or a brief - even small - exceeding of the speed limit, can
lead to a fine. It has NOTHING to do with road safety. It is the
ruling GANG mercilessly exploiting the public to fill the WAR CHEST.
