We are visiting Lincoln shortly and staying at Damons on Doddington Road. 
What are we likely to pay for a taxi into and out of the city centre on 
Saturday night? Any reliable taxi firms that can be recommended?

and Discount cabs 01522 800800

The local cabs tend to charge a premium for weekend and evening work, so 
I would imagine that you would pay at least a fiver for that run. If you 
want to know exactly, call the taxi office, they can give you a price 
over the phone.

to bad a price for the distance. will ring the firms recommended by Groove 
to see what  they have to offer. Looking forward to a good night 
out.......any thoughts on a 40 somethings night out in the city?

hierarchy.  This newsgroup in particular is a very good example 
of another HMG failure. It does however, provide a forum in which

A couple of good local minicab firms are Handsome cabs on 01522 545352 
and Discount cabs 01522 800800

The local cabs tend to charge a premium for weekend and evening work, so 
I would imagine that you would pay at least a fiver for that run. If you 
want to know exactly, call the taxi office, they can give you a price 
over the phone.
