Depressing August
Wasn't it just the most depressing August Bank Holiday??? Grey skies! Rain!
Went down to Littlestone yesterday and it was that wet and windy I wore my
winter jacket on the beach! Still, I do enjoy that bracing sea air and love
walking in the rain, just don't really expect it in August! Roll on
Christmas! ;-) (sorry Harry)

I think August is supposed to be the rainiest month believe it or not. Seems
to me in the SE US it was a cosistently cold winter a cool spring and summer
thus far .Can't wait for global warming to start......

Not in the UK it's not. Rain is about one day in three in winter rather
than summer usually according to MET office.

We were in travelling in Florida for all of January. Each week we had about
three days with temps in the 40F range. The sudden drops caused fish to die
by their 1,000's in the sea as they could not adust to the drop. We found a
dead Iguana on a path and were told that they were falling dead from the
trees as they could not warm up.
