?22 million
£22 million was spent on obtaining the Gold medals for cycling in the 2008
Olympics. Today I watched an advert on TV where a car was destroyed. The
cost of that car would have settled my credit card debts. The £22 million
would have helped numerous disadvantaged children in Africa, or Maidstone,
built a Hospital or given many cancer sufferers the chance of life.

Maidstone BC has squandered money on “Art” and other useless projects.

When is it politically correct to spend money on only a few, when it could
benefit the majority ?

Im obviously bored out of my scull or I would not be posting and inviting a
kicking but there must be a limit to ” my “ money being spent on things that
wont matter when the economy implodes.

( if they demand that I repay my debts, the world will go into a deep
recession and may never recover)

Any homework available out there ? I can do cleaning, gardening, car
washing. As long as it is at night. ))

They got a bit more of a return from the bike riders than the athletes who
cost £24 million for one gold won by a runner who at one time was banned for
forgetting to go for drug testing three times. The boxers are really Pro's
and are each getting £60K a year expenses apart from the rest of the money
pumped into their training.
