Cliftonville, Margate - Best areas to buy a house and areas to avoid????
Hi could anyone give me some guidance on the best areas around Cliftonville
to purchase a family home, prices to to vary from street to street and I am
starting
to think its to do with the good and bad areas in and around Cliftonville.
I'd be very interested to know the areas to avoid aswell!
Any info would be most greatful!

Anywhere to the east of Tesco on Northdown Road is considered desirable,
particularly the avenues on the sea side of Northdown Road, anywhere on the
Margate side of Tesco is generally referred to as "Kosoville"

When I was a kid anywhere in Cliftonville was *the* place to live. All
those grand houses up on the hill looking out to sea, and looking down on
Margate. Last time I visited Cliftonville, en route to somewhere else, all
the grand houses had been turned into flats and the place looked like the
backstreets of any seaside town. It's all very depressing.
If you can afford it, move to Broadstairs, still a charming town.
