Question Time Just Gone
I was disappointed to see that once again, given the opportunity, not one
member of the Question Time audience smacked Hazel Blears firmly and
squarely in her awful, zealot face in order to wipe that smug, sneering,
patronising smirk off it.

I agree, there is something insufferable about her whole demeanour. I
believe a firm clout with a sturdy bit of 4 x 2 would solve that quite
nicely, particularly if it was on prime-time TV!

I think she must be the House of Commons equivalent of Dolores Umbridge!

They all smirk like that, it is a hangover from the Alistair Campbell
days. His instruction to the highest and lowest in New, now On the Ropes
Labour, was when in trouble look condescending. He thought it would give
an air of confidence. Last night it made her look a half-wit.

I am amused by what Frank Fields said today. He said "he was interested in
politics but did not know half the cabinet"! Who are these pups? Upstarts
from nowhere! Take the Home Secretary, Jackie Nobody. She is in charge of
our security. Heaven help us.

Harriet Harwoman was on the radio this morning. She said the "government
was learning the lessons about energy increases". Her solution was to
stick a few windmills somewhere and give grants for loft insulation! that
is what the people want!

This government has been outed by the architect of its own destruction,
Brown. The whole economic "miracle" was a sham and now we are bust. People
are angry, as everyone is when they realise they have been conned. Sadly
it is us who will have to pick up the pieces.

Well, a wise man once said "when you want a nail in a bit of wood you just
take a hammer and keep hitting the nail - nothing fancy" and i'm certainly
from this school of thought - so yes, bit of 4 x 2 and just keep hitting it
until she's back into the real world. You have to be practical with this
type of thing.

Its really a reflection of public self confidence that no one took the lead
and administered this solution on live TV. I feel it would have been well
received and a deserved relief for the public.

Yes! They are confident in the knowledge that very shortly
they will be able to give her and her lot a good gubbing.
And a well deserved one at that. Democratic process
I just love it sometimes.
