It's not a question of 'like', more a question of 'telling it like it
was' (1).

Unless I'm mistaken, didn't he occasionally, when really pushed on
something, hit back with some sort 'Yes, yes... you're obviously one
of that lot out to get me' conspiracy theory type comments - he didn't
ever seem to be able to have a reasoned debate as a result... unless
of course you happened to agree with him.

(1) ...and probably still will be once he stops licking his wounds and
finds himself a new 'we are considerably more moral than yowl' pulpit
from where he can continue to preach down upon the masses beneath him.
