School teachers on strike
Did anyone see the teenagers interviewed on the day of the teachers
strike giving their opinion of it? One of them said he thought the school
teachers deserved a living wage as they were "manual workers" (my
quotation marks) and deserved a living wage!

Lol. We don't need no education!

Only bettered by the teachers themselves when a group of them were asked
why they were going on strike as their pay increase had been awarded by an
independent arbitration board (or some such quango) and they had caused
much grief to single parents who had had to take a day off work. One of
the teachers replied he " appreciated the strike was the subject of issues
for such parents"!

Issues??? A damn great problem for some! Nobody speaks English anymore
particularly pc teachers.

You and I shall just have to continue to shoulder the burden of maintaining
standards, innit?
