One thing you should know from the start is that Mike NEVER answers a
straight question with a straight answer. Questions are something that
only Mike is allowed to ask.
All you will get in reply is
-no reply at all, or
-another question directed back at you, or
-"what part of [some irrelevant previous comment] don't you
understand?"

And when he is cornered up against the wall, Mike will then start a new
thread as if nothing has happened. Just like a soap bar...

Jane, I should have advised you also that Mike has a strange attitude
towards ladies who post on newsgroups. He has for some reason
developed a dislike of lady gardeners on uk.rec.gardening, as a few
moments' browsing of current threads there will demonstrate.
I'm sorry about this. Please understand that he is not typical of all
Islanders!
