Bishops Stortford to Stansted: early morning transfers
What's the best way to get from Bishop's Stortford to Stansted airport,
early morning via public transport. Bus or train?

My Easyjet flight is at 08:10.
Rail options are
Dep: 06:32 Arr: 06:43
Dep: 07:02 Arr; 07:12

Bus options are:
510 service Harlow-Stansted
Dep: BS Riverside 06:28 Arr: Stansted: 06:45
Dep: BS Riverside 06:58 Arr: Stansted: 07:15

Any pointers on how punctual these services might be? Are buses delayed
due to road traffic in the area.
My initial preference is to travel by train.
Taxi is too expensive; I am on a low budget!

At that time of day there should be little problem with road
congestion - unless the police have closed off the drop-off area at
STN again, in which case there may be a bit of a queue. You could, of
course, get an earlier bus, just in case.

The choice of bus v. train would depend on where in Stortford you're
coming from. The bus also stops at places to the south and north of
the town centre.

If you're near the station and have access to the Internet, why not
look at the on-line live departure screen for Bishop's Stortford at
www.nationalrail.co.uk, and if the train's very late or cancelled get
a bus or cab?
