So what? You joined a public tour of the building (available weekdays to
the general public), and covertly made a video of it. Hardly the epitome
of investigative journalism LOL !

You didn't secretly "obtain" it - you secretly "made" it (or "recorded" it)

As indeed there isn't.

We call these people security guards. The "advanced video surveillance"
is of course plain old CCTV".
Many public buildings have both guards and CCTV ..... libraries and museums
for example (speaking of which did you get a chance to visit the Library and
Museum of Freemasonry up on the 1st floor while you were there?
Apart from potential terrorist risks (such people do like to kill innocents
in public places/buildings you know), the security at UGLE was revamped a
few years back after three iirc west African gentlemen, who had joined a
public tour, "disappeared" during the course of it - thus sparking a
security alert. They were all eventually found again - having each made
their way to different parts of the building and into places where they had
no legitimate business!

Not unlikely that a potential film / tv show production team were casing the
joint. After all, both Judge Deed and Spooks claim the place - the Judge
as his High Court and the Spooks as their HQ.
Ultimate Force know it simply as a battleground - they fought an extensive
counter-terrorist action, freeing hostages from the boardroom (or was it the
1st floor lounge?). The action was particularly violent on the mezzanine
landing, where the terrorists had erected a heavy calibre machine gun which
the SAS had to neutralise.
What impressed me most about that, was the absolute perfection and speed of
the repair job. The main entrance hall had been riddled with 50-calibre
bullets from that macine gun, smaller bullets from rifles and sub-machine
guns, and the blast and shrapnel damage from grenades (both hand and rocket
propelled variety).
Yet within the day, the building was back in use for lodge meetings -
without the slightest indication that any of the battle damage had ever
happened!! Oh what mystical power these Masons have :-)
After all, the damage must have happened, because I saw it on TV - someone
had videoed it live !!
But then again - someone else told me that Ultimate Force was just a work of
fiction ..... so maybe Freemasons' Hall doesn't really exist at all, and
maybe all my memories of meetings there are just my crazed delusions??
