William HUTTON
I'm researching the HUTTON family who moved to Grimsby many years ago, but
I'm interested in finding out any info anyone may have on two deaths.
One was William HUTTON aged 83 who died in the Mar Qrt of 1939 at Plymouth
and again William HUTTON aged 82 who also died in the Mar Qrt but in 1940 at
Portsmouth.
Any info would be most welcome, The William I'm looking for married Sarah
Ann Betteridge in Oct 1879 when aged 22 at Portsea.

You might be better off posting such a query to alt.genealogy,
soc.genealogy.britain and england.genealogy.misc.
Good luck.

Good points, but in genealogy, one follows all trails. Because the OP is
seeking info about someone connected with Pompey then this is one of
those trails.
Sorry I can't help him.

It is rumoured that in the online version of the 1901 census (transcription
of which was outsourced - to Sri Lanka, I believe) there are many families
where everyone except the head of the household has the surname Ditto...
