Re: Hannah Foster murder case
In the absence of anything in the media concerning
17 Sept being the date for CPS disclosing all "evidence"
to the defence.
Honourable process in India, I wonder
if the Sun newspaper will report where their
conned-out-of money is going

School in Hannah's memory
20 Sep 2007, 0258 hrs IST,TNN
DARJEELING: Hannah Foster's parents are yet to get justice, more than four
years after she was brutally murdered in Southampton, but her memory will
live on in the Darjeeling Hills. The informer who got her suspected killer
arrested in Kalimpong has used all his reward money to build an English
medium school in Hannah's name.
Jason Lepcha, who received Rs 3.67 lakh for giving information on the
whereabouts of Manindar Pal Singh Kohli, did not want to spend the money on
himself. "Now I feel satisfied that the money has been utilised in a good
cause," Lepcha told TOI. His initiative so moved two British residents that
they have pitched in with funds for books and teachers' salaries.
The school, named 'Hannah Memorial Academy', has come up in a pretty little
spot in the Dhotrey tea garden, 30 km from Darjeeling. Education is free
till Class IV. The school even supplies the 67 students free books and
uniforms.
"Many garden workers cannot afford to send their children to an English
medium school. I was wondering what to do with the reward money. Since my
grandfather owned a plot in Dhotrey tea garden, I decided to use the land
and the money to open a school that will help families who want to give
their children good education but cannot afford it," said Lepcha. ...

Musician Partner(s) wanted
I have plonked about on my own for too many years (guitar and
midi/keyboards) and have developed some licks and riffs that need
developing up.
What I really want is a Jam partner or other muso of any skill
level/age to meet up with. I am no shredder - far from it - but I have
soul and a tuneful ear and very open mind to musical style. In fact
that's the point, I want to move 'outside my comfort zone' and
progress and hell, enjoy some like-minded company.
Anyone interested in meeting up?? I am Farnham/Guildford and
surrounding areas...
Cheers
Mark

Guildford is home to the Academy of Contemporary Music. The ACM's main
facility is in the Rodboro Buildings on the corner of Bridge Street.
Below the ACM is a pub (brilliant tactical positioning!) - a Witherspoons
I think. At most times the pub is packed with young, often very talented,
musicians, most of whom are up for a jam at the drop of a
hemi-demi-semi-quaver. I suggest you repair to said watering hole armed
with beer tokens and engage a few musos in conversation. After swapping
tastes/influences/rounds for a while I'm sure you'll find several people
also willing to swap licks.
