Indisposed?
Hi Pat.

Are you guys in Felixstowe ok or are you floating out to sea in little
pieces?
I suppose the heading should really have been "undisposed". Hope you
go bang before too long.

It appears (although they deny it!) that they`ve lost it. What they say,
firmly, is that "They haven`t lost it, they just don`t know quite how to
find it, although they know where it is!" (Huh?)

I just realised that had it gone off during the war, I might never have met
my "better `alf", as he lived only about 100 yards from where it was
dropped - and all those houses would have been flattened!

From what I heard on the news, a big tide uncovered it, and a big tide
then covered it up again.

Given the weight of the thing, I can't quite picture it being washed
away a great distance, it's probably within a few feet of where it was
last seen, just sunk in sand a bit.

I say bomb the whole beach!

:o)

No - it`s a couple of miles out now, in about 3 fathoms (so sounds like it`s
on a sandbank). They towed it out "secured" to a large buoy, and anchored
it, but the knot came undone or something!!! Some sailors with a lubbers
knot from the sound of it! LOL!

Trouble is, the underwater currents churn the sand up so divers can`t see
their hands in front of their faces.

Now children, we are all going to sit here at playtime until whoever
took it GIVES US OUR BOMB BACK!

My daughter was down the seafront this afternoon - and it appeared from all
the activity that the Royal Navy have moved their operation about two miles
along the promenade from the Beach Station road area, right up to Cobbolds
Point. We must have had some strong tides to have possibly moved it THAT
far in so short a time!

Well they wouldn't want to be too close if it went off, would they?

They reckon they`ve found it now and hoped to blow it up tonight. Haven`t
heard a bang yet.

My daughter reckons they`ll probably make a big bang and claim to have blown
it up - and when it turns up in a few weeks time, swear blind it`s another
one!
