Some of you may recall when UK.LOCAL.DEVON was 'rescued' & a small group of 
posters developed over a year or two, that was quite a few years ago now & 
like most other fledgling late starter newsgroups on Usenet it suffered a 
total drop off. Mainly due to overabundant anal retentiveness, troll 
activity & the fallout effect from he who shall not be named suing all & 
sundry on uk.l.sw, a lack of on topic discussions & lack of interest in 
newsgroups in general made its users diminish to the vanishing point.

Is there in fact anybody out there?

Is anyone interested in breathing life back into uk.l.devon?

It is as easy as bringing some discussions to the group & checking on on a 
regular basis to keep the strings alive. No hard & fast rules, just an old 
alternative to emails & blogs & website based topic groups.

Bring your merry tongue in cheek banter, your local news & views, topics of 
interest.

How about a show of hands for 2008........the rebirth of UK.LOCAL.DEVON.

Bring out your old, young, resuscitated dead, newbie's & seasoned pro's.
