The National Stone Centre in Wirksworth is very good, whenever we go there
we see lots of children fascinated by Dinosaur teeth and 40 million year old
fossils and they have a pan for 'gems' thing occasionally. Where most places
charge £12 for an Ammonite you can but one for £2 at the NSC.

It can be combined with a walk along the High Peak Trail as well and a visit
to the the Steeple Grange Light railway and the railway preservation place
in Wirksworth.

I hope the leg is fully mended now.
