Yeah, I saw some of it. I'm not a country fan generally, but I always liked
Johnny Cash. Saw him live in Edinburgh's Usher Hall many moons ago - what a
gig that was!

I guess he was the sort of performer who tended to polarize people's
attitudes. You either loved him or hated him -nothing in between.

Spot on ally.
In my opinion, he was the sort of performer who helped people sort
themselves into their appropriate grouping. He was roundly condemned by all
of my tory friends and people I regarded as of a high authoritarian index..
They detested him. Myself I enjoyed his music, not all country and western,
and I have a fair degree of respect for a man who struggled with and over
came his dark side. Others in this world just wallow in their own dark side
and try to redirect their "bile" and the attention on them onto others by
"controlling them".....or should I qualify that, attempting. Mind you I
would rather spend an evening in the company of the Johnny Cash's of this
world than most of the "respectable" gents of the world.
I enjoyed the whole evening. Well worth the fee. Well done BBC.
Beautiful day here. Blue sky no wind, and warm! All the animals are out.
The Boss Cat is sunning herself on my summer seat. I cannot draw myself
to shift her. She is in her element!! Preening and purring!!
Must be my age.
