seeking a witness with knowledge of Trading Standards procedures
My company is based in the South West of England and, together with an
employee of the company, is being prosecuted under the Trade
Descriptions Act for having applied a false description to the
servicing of a motor vehicle. The allegations arise from a test
purchase carried out by a county council trading standards officer,
using his own private car.

There are a number of features of this case which lead me to conclude
that the prosecution is a set up job. That said, a criminal
prosecution has now been brought which my company and its employee
must now defend.

I would very much like to find someone who would be willing to be a
witness in the case who has experience of Trading Standards processes
and procedures - such as test purchases, preservation of evidence etc.
Experience of such matters in connection with the servicing of motor
vehicles would be an added bonus.

If you think you could assist, please contact me as soon as possible
