The 16 minute thriller 'BY BLOOD AND BY WATER' has received Official 
Selection status at the Salento Fear Festival, Salento Italy.  The director, 
Jennifer Belander was also the subject of a full page interview in the Stars 
and Stripes Newspaper, UK Weekly edition.

'BY BLOOD AND BY WATER' is a tense, 16 minute thriller featuring a 
multi-national, multi-ethnic cast and crew. Cast credits include "The 
Merchant of Venice" (Julian Nest), "Interference" (Jennifer Belander), and 
numerous BBC and European Dramatic television productions (Johnny Hansler, 
Montserrat Roig).



SYNOPSIS
Frank and Sarah are an ordinary couple who find their relationship shattered 
by an unexpected world conspiracy. Under newly legalized UK government 
monitoring they become targeted suspects.  Special Agents Moon and Blake are 
convinced that Frank and Sarah are guilty, but of what? And just who defines 
"crime" as the War on Terror is widened and old fears of Witchcraft are 
revived?





'BY BLOOD AND BY WATER' in its draft form (as The Audit) was an Official 
Selection at the Golden Lion Short Film Festival - Swaziland. The 
introductory trailer has had over 25,000 hits across three video hosts.



'BY BLOOD AND BY WATER' in its completed form will premier internationally 
at the Cannes Film Festival, screening in the Festival Palais at 0930 on 19 
May, 2006.  The film has also been entered in a variety of events including 
the Hawaiian International Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Film 
Festival, and the Cambridge (UK) Film Festival.

'BY BLOOD AND BY WATER' was written by George Elder, brilliant new Scottish 
writer (other titles). George brings a dark tale relevant to today and gives 
the two government agents a particularly chilling demeanour. This represents 
the directing debut for Ms. Belander and her intimate and terrifying vision 
is framed by the dynamic cinematography and lighting of Bob Komar ("Measure 
for Measure").
