It seems to me that an invite should be posted in every group in the
uk.local. hierarchy of newsgroups (and one to uk.rec.ufo) for the
return of our good friend  and correspondent Carstairs-MacKracken.

My reasons? To improve both the quality and amount of contributions to
these newsgroups. From what I can gather nearly all of those groups 
have been taken over by extreme right wing political parties, kiddie
fiddlers, willey watchers, transvestites, cross-dressers and the
grossly sexually dysfunctional as well as other sundry personality
disorders too numerous to mention here. This is not to deny that
straight well balanced and articulate folks also use the groups.
However very few of them do. Nor is this an argument for the exclusion
of the mentally bizzare. Sadly, the contributions of the above
mentioned are not up to the entertainment value of
Carstairs-MacKrackens poorest stuff. Also the volume of traffic has
declined considerably in all groups (no doubt some twat with stats
will jump in here and contrdict!). 

Therefore, an apology should be proffered and an invitation to return
should be posted forth with. Iff enough messages are posted I am sure
he would return.
