Thank you for your recent order of Grand Theft Auto IV. We're sure you're 
looking forward to this Tuesday as much as we are.

We've got some great news. To guarantee you receive your copy on time, we'll 
now be sending it by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Then they emailed me today to say it had been posted!  So, maybe I'll get it 
genuinely tmrw :-)

well game said all their 'free' delivery customers orders will be
posted on saturday, so have a good chance of arriving monday, but if
you paid for special delivery, they won't post til monday...

Ah but I got £140 of HMV money of vouchers (ok, probably all uselss but I do 
shop at HMV at lot) and 1000 XBL points - which I was planning on buying 
some more off anyway :-)  Swings and roundabouts really!

well, game Give you 500 points, i had a fiver on my reward card, and
will get a further £3.70 or so in return from Quidco.

and HMV voucher booklets are notoriously pants ;)

I have two ordered, one from shopto and one from gamestation (one is for a 
friend).  Anyway I will keep whichever one arrives first.  From the email I 
got from shopto, I have a feeling they will not be shipping until monday :-(

they aren't.

as they send everything next day special delivery, they won't be

Well Play.com have lifted £70 from my account, so that should be a good sign 
but Gameplay did the same last Friday and WiiFit is still not here.

They might well specify that but everything I've ever received from them 
and that's around 12 games now have arrived 1st class 'signed for'.

Well thats how they deliver.  I have had about 15 items from them and each 
have been normal recorded delivery

It did not.  I got an email during the night saying it had been posted, 
Royal Mail special delivery on the 24th - inc a tracking number.  Did it

tbh, royal mail tracking numbers are crap, as you can't use them on
the website until you've got the thing.

utterly useless for the recipient, so i don't know why they tell you

Yea entirely true, but it acknowledges the number exists, so I do know that 
it was posted when HMV said and they (RM) are infact useless slags :-)

well, it depends when it was picked up from hmv by royal mail i
suppose.

there's also every possibility theyve just sent it first class
recorded. i guess, who knows :)

still a chance my copy may turn up tomorrow from Game, i doubt it
will, but i'd be surprised if it doesnt arrive on monday, that's for
sure.
