One for the laptop experts
All,

I'm a desktop kinda guy, but I probably know the answer - which of
these laptops is better for gaming and all round goodness?

Dell Studio 15
Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T4300 (2.1GHz, 800MHz, 1MB cache)
with Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD

vs.

Acer 6935G
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T6400
* (2Ghz, 800Mhz, 2MB Cache)
with 512mb NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS

I need to choose in case my' Hot UK Deal' Dell isn't cancelled, as my
HUKD Acer from Currys just arrived!!

The only worry is the Acer is a refurb but seems like new and has 3GB
of DDR3 RAM vs 2Gb of DDR for the brand new Dell. I have 7 days to
return it, if the Dell comes through and seem the better option.

Already have an Acer Aspire One netbook, which is a nicelittle thing.

The laptop is for my daughter's Xmas pressie and will let me back on
the desktop whilst she does homework!

Thanks

Blonkster

This by quite a distance, by having a far better gfx card (with its
own RAM) and a faster CPU (more cache outwights 5% speed). Also the
extra RAM you mention.

The Acer. Better graphics chip.

This, although don't think you'll be playing Crysis on max on either of them.
The Acer should be good for, say, World of Warcraft or Half Life 2 or Spore
or Sims 3 or that sort of thing.
