360 Online repair request
is this actually possible?

i've registered my 360 serial number, etc, but when i click on request
repair it gives an error and tells me to ring Xbox CS, though handily
only listing the USA number.

triffic, guv.

so, has anyone here actually used this system, or am i going to have
to ring them up?

I had the same thing, although I was given the UK number. If I try and check
the progress of my repair online, it tells me I have no machines registered.

I used it. The labels arrived the same day via email and it was off to UPS
a few days later. Repaired and back with me 8 days later.

Probably not quite as annoying as my situation. Failed to register online,
so phoned them last night, only to be told that the serial number I gave
them couldn't be found on their system. This was from a console they'd
already repaired last year, but the one I got back wasn't the one I sent.
Not that I cared at the time, after waiting 5 weeks for it to be returned to
me (last July).

They're now due to call me back "within 48 hours" because only a supervisor
can deal with it now. Hmm...

Well I have no need to check the progress anymore. My machine returned
today, repaired, not replaced this time, seven days after collection. They
enclosed a code for a month of Xbox Live Gold too, which they didn't last
time when I was without my machine for about six weeks.

Not quite as quick as Sony, I reported my PS3 as faulty a week ago on Sunday,
and they swapped it on my doorstep for a new machine on the Wednesday, but
still a pretty impressive turnaround period for a repair.
