Thats not surprising, after talking a lot of old hands who used to
post on NGs ten years ago, like me, its pointless as dickheads rip
people to shreds with (in) joke warped humour, NGs as medium now suck,
thats why people dont post, and I cant name these people as they a
prominently involved in the gaming scene..

flame war choobs started...

no, people don't post because the vasy majority of net users these
days probably don't have a clue what usenet even is, and a lot of the
people who posted in the past have either moved on, or have migrated
to web forums, etc.

it's not because people have a warped sense of humour, or anything
like that.

does every one of your posts have to descend into a "everyone hates
me" style moan?

fucking get over yourself.

The problem is, forums are by there very nature, utterly shit. There
isn't a single web based forum to rival usenet... not that I've seen anyway.

i have to agree, usenet is far easier to navigate, and a lot quicker
about it too.

proper threading is a great advantage as well, unlike most forums
which just stick messages one after the other chronologically.

does my bloody head in, that.
