R4DS auction thoughts?
htm>

Should I buy? What can I run if I do? I'm thinking a NES emulator would
be cool (how does one go about doing that?), but what else is there? Is
there any situation where I would need a Windows PC (I use a Mac)?

TIA,

If you want one, why pay $126 when you could buy exactly the same thing
from DealExtreme for $86?

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1897

USD66 with free shipping comes to NZD86 - saving you $40 for the sake of
waiting a week or two for it to ship.

Yep. But I'm not commenting on price, I paid about 35 GBP for mine.

NesDS: http://www.cs.utah.edu/~tew/nesDS/
There are other emulators but they're not very good at the moment.
The GBC one is quite OK actually.
You just put the xxx.nds file in the root directory of a MicroSD card
(which plugs into the R4DS).
You will need Moon Shell installed on the MicroSD card - it is part of
the R4DS 'bundle', as is a USB 2.0 MicroSD reader.
Using ROMs downloaded from Internet is considered illegal, mind you.

Dunno, I use a Windows machine. Further inquiry might be needed.

seems too expensive that, dealextreme are far cheaper.

can't see any need for needing a windows PC, as everything is stored
on the card, you don't really have to install anything, just copy it
over.

http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/ is a cracking site for homebrew apps
and emulators.
