R4DS
I recall a post in here recently about someone who'd ordered an R4DS
and found that the company was ignoring emails and not shipping the
item.

Can anyone remember which company that was?

hmm, i'd be surprised if it was dealextreme, they were very helpful
and prompt when i got mine from them.

shame the R4DS itself is so cheaply made and unreliable.

currently having to use sellotape to keep the micro-sd card in place
in mine as the clip/hinge in the cart mechanism seems more fragile
than wet tissue paper.

i'd order another one, but dont see the point if it's just gonna end
up the same.

I've had no problems with reliability so far. Mayhap one should be more
careful when manipulating with a MicroSD card?
To the OP I'd recommend Consoleup.com for fast and safe delivery of the
item.

I've not had any problems with my R4DS either. Also, I used
consoleplus.co.uk for mine (and other stuff in the past) - very quick
delivery. I don't know what their customer service is like, not having
needed to contact them. :)

be more careful?

it's not as if i were using a pair of pliers to remove the thing. the
mechanism is flakey and build quality is low. simple as that.

Mine's okay, although apparently there's a new design so perhaps it fixes
your issue.

On mine, it isn't. Sorry.
I remove/insert the MicroSD card several times per day with no problems.

so did i, for a while, then it just stopped 'holding' the card.

friend of mine has the same issue, and done a bit of reading on the
net and it appears it's a common problem.

seems the pin that 'hooks' onto the card is prone to coming loose.

I've heard, but can't confirm, that the R4DS has been adjusted to ally
this issue.

I, too, was impressed by DealExtreme's service when I used them earlier
in the year. I can't remember if it was them or another company which was
drawing complaints a week or three ago and can't find the post now.

Yeah, I had no problem with dealextreme either and my R4DS is fine!
