Where to buy a 2nd gen GBA-SP with better screen?
Where can I get one that is sure to be one with the newer, better
screen?

I can sell you mine if you'd like, I have no use for it these days.
Given I got it only few months prior to the DS Lite it's not seen much
action, which is a shame seeing as the screen really is brilliant.

Hey, THANKS! :-)
*peppers you with questions* How much? What colour is it? No scratches?
Screen in as-new condition (only condition I'd consider, sorry)? Where
did you get it, if I may ask? Can I see a photo, please? And you
remember I live in New Zealand, right? Not that it puts me off :-)

1. No idea, less than whatever they go for on ebay I guess.
2. Cobalt blue, which was the best available color (spelling
intentional, pedants), the other being pinkish or something.
3. Not really, it's lived in a case most of the time. A couple of
minor scuffs if I'm being picky (and I /am/ picky so they can't be bad
or I'd be upset), but you can decide from the pics.
4. Perfect.
5. Gamestop, Menlo Park Mall, New Jersey, USA (hence the spelling
above!)
6. I'll do some stupidly hi-res pics at the weekend.
7. Yeah, should be cheap to post though. Need to check on the PSU as
to whether it'd be any use to you, I use my UK SP one and that won't
fit in the incredibly compact US box which will give an oddly lumpy
package (I use my UK SP box to hold all my credit-and-other-cards that
I don't carry on me, if anyone wants to break in while I'm not there).

Are you sure that's got the better screen:
Backlit version
In North America in September 2005, around the time of the Game Boy
Micro's release, Nintendo released an improved version of the Game Boy
Advance SP featuring a backlight instead of the previous version's
frontlight. The brightness can be set to low or high. The box says, "Now
with a BRIGHTER backlit screen!" to distinguish the new model from the
older, frontlit models. In addition, the backlit SP model can be
recognized by the AGS-101 model designation on the bottom of the unit. [4]
The standard edition of the backlit version currently comes in three
colors, Pearl Blue, Graphite (a greyer version of Charcoal Black), and
Pearl Pink.

NZ is 230v mains , same as the UK so a US PSU isn't much use.

Yes, that's why I bought it, it really shows up the normal SP screen
for being utterly, utterly awful in comparison. If you're referring
to my colour name being wrong, I don't have the box to hand (and
having checked, cobalt blue would be far too dark a colour).

Depends if the PSU is rated at 110 - 240V or not (although I suspect
not).

True :-D It's heading into winter in Big Pond, but summer's just
beginning in the Bay of Plenty, NZ! It's kinda refreshing making snowmen
in the hottest months.

No worries, I now have the photos (thanks!) and am doing a little price
research myself so I can make a fair offer. I confess I've no idea what
a secondhand GBA-SP with improved screen is worth. Anyone care to tell
me in their opinion?
