Is the GBC version of R-Type Dx any good?
I have an offer of the original still with box and manual in good nick.
Worth picking up? IIRC the R-Type game for GBA was shite, so I'm wary.

It's surprisingly good. It has the original GB R-Type 1 and 2 as black-
and-white and colorized and a DX-mode that combines the two into one
game. If you can get it for a good price by all means pick it up.

Thanks, it's hard to know if the reviews always get it right. I like to
have some real world feedback :-) I've just bought the game and I ought
to have it in my hands in a few days.
