The future of NGC?
Just wondering if Future will continue to make NGC at all? What with them
now having Nintendo Official Magazine with issue one just released this
month?
Maybe NGC will be wound down and then stopped. Not sure what Future
Publishing plans are for NGC now. Got to read the new NOM issue and see if
it's good or not.

I really can't see much of a future for NGC. It might last until the Rev
comes out, then morph into something else, as in the case with N64/NGC.

I have to say that I really don't enjoy reading NGC as much as I used to.
A lot of my favourite sections are gone, and I didn't find the free gifts
in the last few issues particularly useful. Colour picture cards? They
went in the bin.

Well, NGC has gotten smaller, like last months issue shrunk in size again
and went into the style of stapled like BBC Wildlife or Focus magazines.
Never know, with them having official status, what's the point in carrying
on with the unofficial title?

Well, the first issue here has stick on stickers to put onto the DS. From
Mario Kart, Nintendogs and Animal Crossing. That's if you want to put
stickers on your DS that is. At least there's a decent subscription offer
with a game of your choice, mind you, most will probably have the titles
anyways. It's a choice from Metriod Prime 2, Pikimin 2 or Donkey Konga
(With bongo's)
Issue 2 will have another video dvd with stuff from Zelda, Revolution etc.
It's okay, bit like NGC but like it used to be in size and various stuff in
it. Have to see if NOM will eventually get demo disc's. Something that
Nintendo should really look into now to be honest but that's up to NOE to
sort out etc.

You can see the ABC figures
http://www.abc.org.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=nav/abc&noc=y (type in NGC on the
top right), are not good.
11,200 for the last term (jun-dec 05) down from 13,000 5I think) for jan-jun
05.
When you think that Cube started to have problems when figures went as low
as 27,000, and theABC figure before they went down (Jan 05 - Jun 05) was
around 21,000.
And N.O.M they were selling 37,000 at the same period, which did not stop it
from having to momentarily stop.

Cube was in my opinion better than NGC but that's another debate altogether
:) I'll give this relaunch/renew NOM a go for a few issues and see if it's
better than it was before. Mind you, they probably do better if they end up
with Revolution demo disc's. Nintendo should really get onto that as well.
I know they don't like anyone seeing anything unfinished and all but it be
nice to see how things are going and all. Ho hum.

Er, it had to stop because they lost the license.
