Apparently NGC made it all up. Nintendo have stated that:

"Nintendo have made no new announcements regarding The Legend of Zelda: 
Twilight Princess. We can however confirm that the game is still in 
development and that it will launch on Nintendo GameCube in 2006."

I thought Total was utter toss - I got fed up with up it's stupid anti-Sega
stance.  Super Play was good though.

Unfortunately after Cube magazine stoped after issue 52, that's all we have 
left.
I don't know about NOM, I heard tha company owning it was in trouble, but I 
don't like this mag anyway.

The late 90's 'Arcade' magazine was utterly brilliant too. It had *nothing* 
at all to do with Arcades or Arcade games though, so was left lying on the 
shelf most of the time (I still believe that the title confused many 
people - and played a big part in its demise, as did the state of the over 
saturated market of the day), it died after about 2 years. I still have 
every copy they made, and still read them now and again.
