For the uninitiated, it lets you load & play ROM's of Gameboy games - saved
me a FORTUNE when my son was going through his Gameboy phase!

I also have HUNDREDS of older ROM's but as I can't sell these I might be
able to simply give them away if somebody wins it & wants them?

That item is not allowed on eBay.  I'd expect it to be pulled.  Again.

Also, you say "your PC MUST have a Serial port to use this", even though it's
a parallel device.
