Fake Famicom Micro questions?
Howdy,
First of all, sorry about the crosspost, but what with some new (very quiet)
groups and old (very busy) groups etc, etc,....

So I'm looking to add to the collection, and I'm trying to decide whether I
should get a DS-Lite (to add to the 2 DSs in the house), or a spanking new
micro (to sit alongside my NES and Zelda SPs.

But decisions (and finances) aside, the only Micros that take my fancy are
the black and Famicom versions.

Now, the questions.... How limited was the Famicom version? I ask because a
few sellers allude to their items as being "100% Original - Not a fake". In
addition, there are lots of stock photos on the 'bay, and loads selling from
Singapore and Hong Kong. OK, a fakey faceplate is one thing, but the etched
Mario on the back? My curiosity is getting the better of me here.. I know
the GBA market is full of fake carts (got stung for the first time meself
recently), but what gives with the consoles themselves?

Dude,

You have committed the lowest of low crimes, this is simply unacceptable.
Please tell us the address of your USENET administrators to allow timothy
and his friends to "attempt - haha" to have your account suspended.

Bad boy you!

Badass.

No, he didn't crosspost to alt.*

What he posted is entirely within the rules, if slightly against the
spirit of them.
