PTQ (San Diego) and 2 X GPTs (Paris) at Game 09, plus lots more
Hi all,
It's time for Game 09 and we're proud hosts for an array of great
tournaments, including a Pro Tour Qualifier for San Diego and two
Grand Prix Trials for Paris. As always we'll have the question as to
whether it is more expensive to go to a convention to play these games
and I'm pleased to inform our Magic players that it won't be! If you
use your Game Voucher (see our website for information on this) to
part pay the sealed PTQ, it will only cost you £26 including entry to
Game 09! You can save even more by coming on Saturday and playing in
the sealed GPT using our Magic PACK - all of this AND you've got a
great venue with lots of facilities including food, drink, WiFi,
demonstration games, "Gameboot" and the atmosphere and space of a
large convention with all its side events and traders. If things don't
got to plan in Sunday's PTQ, we're running a dropout GPT Paris, at a
much reduced price for PTQ drops.
As usual for Game, we'll draft, duel and play side events until you
drop - Game is an overnight event running from 9am Saturday through to
10pm Sunday! Can you game through the whole event? In addition, we
have the "trader gauntlet" and raffle (most traders have donated two
prizes to the raffle and for each trader you've visited you'll be
provided with one raffle ticket) - at 7pm each day there be prizes to
be won in the Grand Room.
Last year we had 73 players for our PTQ and we had great feedback!
Hopefully you're one of our competitors this year?
In addition to this we've got a mouth watering set of tournaments
including:
World of Warcraft Realm Qualifier and drafting
The UK UFS Team Nationals
The UK Raw Deal Nationals
The world's first War for Edadh tournament
The UK Fight Klub Nationals
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle Draft
Legend of the Five Rings
Specialist Card Traders: Dave @ The Gaming Crypt, Jim @ Patriot Games
and Steve @ Magic Geek for all your gaming needs (plus 20 more
traders from other fields)
Parking is simple in the centre of Manchester, but unless you know
where, you can pay a bomb! The best we've found on Saturday is £2 all
day at the Charles Street multi-storey 700 space Car Park, just off
the Mancunian Way and a very short walk from the venue, on Oxford
Street - link here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=53.473246,-2.238314&spn=0.004323,0.009602&t=h&z=17.
On Sunday most single yellow lines zones are free and the same multi-
storey car park is still £2 for the whole day.

Re: PTQ (San Diego) and 2 X GPTs (Paris) at Game 09, plus lots more
If we just wanted to play the PTQ, what time would be need to be
there? I.e. what time does registration open, and when does it start?
How much would it cost for just this? £19 £10 entry -£3 voucher?
Cheers

Yes, that cost is correct - the total would be £26.00
Pre-registration can start from 9:30am and on the day entry
registration starts at 10am.
Look forward to seeing you then
