Tournament Format: LEGACY

Group stage:

• 2 or 4 Groups. 1 match Vs. Each player of group
• 1 match = I game, timed**
• First two of each group go through to finals stage.

Non Finalists:

• 1 match is played for ranking position.
• Match play is determined by taking equivalently ranked player from
other group
• Match format: Best out of 3, unlimited time*

Finals stage:

1 Match = Best out of 3 games, Straight knock out, Timed**

Notes:

* All tournament matches are stopped to watch the final and runners up
match
** Time dependant on group size
Minimum amount of games per tournament is 4  1

Tournament Ranking:

• All tournament ranking is determined by match play.
• Monthly rankings are cumulated in The Casus Belli Pembury Tavern
Gateway League Ladder.
• Monthly tournament points are proportional to the number of
participants.
• League ladder prizes and sponsorship to come...

Prizes:

1st : 4 sets of 4 DCI Gateway foil cards (16 cards)
2nd : 2 sets of 4 DCI Gateway foil cards (8 cards)
3rd : 1 sets of 4 Cards DCI Gateway foil cards (4 cards)
4th & beyond: Gateway Reward Card *

* Gateway Reward Card: At registration you receive a card with 10
points on it. Get 30 points and collect a DCI gateway foil card. 1 win
= 5 points / 1 Loss = 3 points

Magic: The Gathering - Monthly Tournaments in East London- Casus Belli
Monthly League Ladder.

The Gateway League: Offers new/old Magic players a casual playing
environment where they can encounter other players. The Gateway league
is the first step a player takes after having played the game at home.
This is mostly because of the low entry fee and less competitive
character of the league. The Gateway reward scheme rewards
participation, and allows non finalist players to obtain a DCI foil
card with only a few victories in one tournament!

The Pembury Tavern does great food so don't hesitate to have lunch if
you want to get there in advance...
