MTG Twincast "Win a box" Monthly & Other events (in Coventry)
Hello all,
This coming sunday (11th May) sees the next MTG Twincast "Win a
box" (24 boosters for 1st, 12 boosters for second) tournament:
Format: 3 rounds block, 3 rounds standard
Location: Bishop Games, City Arcade, Coventry
Time: 10:30 reg., 11am start
Entry: £5
----------------------------------------------------------------------------Following are the dates for events in Coventry over the next 3 months.
All events (unless stated) are held at Bishop Games, 8 City Arcade,
Coventry. Times, unless otherwise stated, are 18:30 for weekday events
and 10:30am for weekend events. Details for some events follow the
list:
11th May - Monthly "Win a box" Constructed event
17th May - Gateway day - An open day for new and old players alike to
sling spells in a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere.
18th May - GPT Birmingham, Block constructed format (Lorwyn,
morningtide, shadowmoor), £TBC
25th May - UK Nationals qualifier, Standard format £TBC
15th June - Legacy monthly "win a box" event and draft
29th June - GPT Madrid - Sealed deck
12th July - Eventide Prerelease event
26th July - Eventide Release Event (sealed)
27th July - Eventide release event, 2HG sealed
June is stacked full of Nationals qualifiers so although it looks
sparse there is still plenty going on.
Further events are planned, most specifically a charity auction
sealed, but more details and dates for this are to follow. Also keep
the first weekend of August (2nd / 3rd) free and expect mroe news
soon.
Regular Events
Tuesday Draft:
Every Tuesday except the second of each month.
Current set draft (SSS).
18:30 start.
£7 entry or provide your own product.
Redrafting of rares and foils. No other prize support.
Tuesday Fun Event:
Usualy second tuesday of each month, 18:30 start. Details to be
confirmed.
FNM:
Every friday at 18:30.
2nd Friday of each month is booster draft (£7 entry).
Other Fridays are Standard constructed (£3 entry).
Twincast Monthly "Win a Box"
Every month (2nd or 3rd sunday) we will be holding a "Win a box"
tournament. The format will vary from month to month but will start at
10:30am. Prices again vary on the format and will be specified below.
The prize, as the title implies, is a box of boosters divided 24 / 12
between first and second place.
May 11th - Constructed
Given the imminent Grand Prix and Nationals qualifier season this
event will be an amalgam of formats, running as 3 rounds of block
constructed (LMS) and then 3 rounds of standard constructed. This
means that you can always just play your block deck all the way
through.
Time: 10:30am
Entry: £5
June 15th - Legacy
The format is Legacy constructed and the main event will be followed
by an Old Set draft (subject to stock, but probably Mirrodin) at an
additional charge.
